Wireless Transmitter

Anyone got any recommendations on wireless transmitters so I can watch cable on another TV without running a long SCART to and from the source? I see quite few available but wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations/thoughts.

Re: Wireless Transmitter

Have a look in th4e equivalent ntl TV support forum. I'm sure this question must have been asked.

Just be sure that any extender you get is compatible with the remote signalling. A lot of STBs use IrDA instead of the more standard IR, and the two behave differently so controllers are often incompatible.

Indeed *all* Telewest STBs use non-standard IR frequencies, so most IR-senders will have problems. These can be solved by either buying an expensive model, or getting a Red Eye device from www.redremote.co.uk

Re: Wireless Transmitter

I bought an wireless rf sender. It works with sky and sky + not tried it with ntl only cost 30 quid and comes with red eye sender too

They do not have that model now but they have similar for 40-50 quid

Argos has an all in one solution well cheap http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...lickfrom=image (but it says remote does not work)

Bit more expensive http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...lickfrom=image the beauty with argos of course is if it does not work you take it back

Cheapest option then maybe would be cheap argos sender and a remote sender from redremote

We've got that one and it works great with SKY+ Only problem is if we put the microwave on it crackles a bit.

Now how long is the microwave on for?? Sure this is but a wee problem

Honestly though these devices do work really well ,im very happy with mine it comes with 3 channels so if there is a bleed over then you can try a different channel
