Mail stuck in outbox
I have a mail stuck in my outbok in Outlook, I can't delete it, it won't send it just sits there. When I try to delete it Outlook comes up with a message saying Outlook is trying to send the message. I've tried spamming it so that removes it but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Re: Mail stuck in outbox
Can you move it to your inbox and then delete or move direct to deleted box?

Re: Mail stuck in outbox
disconnect from the internet and see if it fails to send with an error code?
if it fails it should get it unstuck.

Re: Mail stuck in outbox
What virus checker are you using, nidge? I've had McAfee cause exactly this behaviour; I've also seen reports of Norton doing it.

How big is your pst file? If its around 1.8gb try archiving some mail.

Re: Mail stuck in outbox
Does your virus scanner scan outgoing mail. If so try disabling this and then resending. I often find this on large mails.

A way I've found for releasing stuck messages in Outbox.
In Outlook (note: NOT express), got to file, work offline.
