Re: Fifa sell off

I agree with UEFA.

They can hold their own "World Cup".

Re: Fifa sell off

Well that's brilliant, I thought they'd all jump for the 40 pieces of silver offered.

Americanised football (and it will be) is something that genuine football fans never want to see . . and probably couldn't afford to see anyway.

Re: Fifa sell off

Greed. Super league. World cup. Why don't they just own their own currency instead of leeching off, or even preying on the established.

Re: Fifa sell off

Great that not only does this proposal look dead in the water, but also that its rejection may lead to Infantio's exit.

Concacaf has come out against it as well (Basically Canada/USA/Mexico and associated countries).

Re: Fifa sell off

Who cares, let them get on with it

Think I've fallen out of love with the game tbh, its not what it was

Fair play to Italy, they've been boycotting world cups long before it was fashionable

The AFC (Asian Football Confederation) has also rejected the plan.

The ‘plan’ is now completely dead in the water. The question is can Infantino possibly cling on? He has to be badly damaged by this and a vote of no confidence certainly isn't out of the question. The problem is a lack of other realistic candidates prepared to stand against him for the presidency.
