Re: How to uninstall Microsoft Bing?

On the desktop? Is it a short cut or the bing bar in the taskbar? If its the latter, you can permanently remove the bing bar by doing the following.

Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog. Type appwiz.cpl and press Enter to open the Programs and Features window. Look for "Bing Bar" in the list of installed programs and uninstall it.

Re: How to uninstall Microsoft Bing?

I am hoping I have solved the problem, I right clicked on the desk top, chose personalise and selected a picture other than the Bing ones.

arrrrr I get what it was now. I actually have an OLED monitor. These can suffer burn if there is a static image so I just have a blank black screen. Nothing on it. This in practice turns off the pixels enabling a longer life of the screen. Only needed on OLEDs
