Hello dues how are you??

Im trying to reach out to my UK friends on this site (Paul,Stevie, etc)

Im looking for Keith Sweats 3rd album on cassette, its called "KEEP IT COMING" and the only ones I can find are US copies that say "DIGALOG" and I hate it!!!!!

Basically they make a recordong of a CD and copy that to the tape so it sounds just about like a CD...... If I WANTED DIGITAL I WOULD GET A BLASTED CD!!

I hate the USA,they hae ruined more media since digital came out than I care to tihnk about. They started forcing digital on people and its sickening!!

R KELLYs 1995 double album on cassette is the same way. DIGALOG.. I finally found a UK release that is not!!!

Here is what the cassette I am looking for looks like

See how it says DIGALOG???

There has gotta be a UK release of this that is as analogue as this album can be (Like the R kelly one I found)

I would settle for a record also but I cant find that on record either!!!

Thanks for any help guys....... Im sorry if this seems like a silly request but its important

Muchos Gracious!!

Re: Looking for a cassette.....

Eh?? So a copy from CD to tape and it sounds like a CD. And you want it to sound like analogue?? I think I must be missing something here...

Out of interest what do you play your tapes on? Something like this.... I mean it is from the 80s...

Thats a nice looking player Peanut. I have one of those (A radio shack one) but no,I listen to these tapes on my tape deck thru a sony AM/FM tuner..

I have a cord that merges left and right channels to give me basically true mono and it sounds excellent.. (To me anyway)

Re: Looking for a cassette.....

How anyone can think mono sounds better that a nice full stereo sound stage is beyond me.

From a technology and sound perspective digital to analogue is the best for sound quality as it guarantees the duplicated tapes are all the same from the digital master.

As the more a tape is played the worse it will sound, the more it's run through the duplicater it will decline in quality. So the 1st made will sound better than the 2000 copy.

Where as digital any duplicates will all have the same quality and is now the way most tapes and records are made now.

As someone who has invested a lot of time and money into audio equipment, this thread is making my skin crawl. It's hurting my damn face. Goodbye.

I seriously doubt you listen to tapes from a tape deck through an AM/FM Tuner because you can not hear anything from an AM/FM Tuner without plugging it into an AMP first which I assume the tape deck is plugged into. Been a long time since I have a stack system. My home cinema amp does have a tuner built in but it never gets used

Well I found the record of this album.. The seller is in Japan or maybe the seller is from the US since it lists a dollar price ($49) but it says the item is in Japan.. (It says GEMA on the record, isnt that germany??)

Its amazing how hard it is to find this on record!!

Its his 1991 album so I would think the record might be more available...

Ah well......
