Recent BB upgrade

What speeds should I be getting on 1gb BB?

I've recently only in the last few days upgraded so they may not have upgraded the speed yet it does say 7-10 days but the contract date for 1gb BB started today.

I'm getting 550mb down wired/wifi and 52up is this still on the 500mb package? I always thought 500mb was 30up not 52?

I'm using a hub 5 connected to a TUF-AX5400 router

Re: Recent BB upgrade

Reboot your router and try again.

I think 500M changed to 52M up a while ago.

Yes it's 52M upload on 500M and 104M up on gigabit.

Re: Recent BB upgrade

I didn't need to. my internet went off about 20 minutes ago and came back on at 1gb speed. I'm limited to 920ish download. I'm assuming it's the 1gb cap on the port on my motherboard? My own router has 2gb ports but my motherboard is a gig port

Re: Recent BB upgrade

You should be getting speeds like this on VM 1Gb:

Quote:
Speed Test Settings

Sep 27 2024 3:18 AM
1.15 Gbps
104 Mbps

Sep 26 2024 3:18 AM
1.14 Gbps
104 Mbps

Sep 25 2024 3:18 AM
1.15 Gbps
104 Mbps

Sep 24 2024 3:18 AM
1.14 Gbps
104 Mbps

Sep 23 2024 3:18 AM
1.15 Gbps
105 Mbps

Sep 22 2024 3:18 AM
1.14 Gbps
105 Mbps

Sep 21 2024 3:18 AM
1.15 Gbps
104 Mbps
This assumes that your router has a >1Gb WAN port e.g. 2.5Gb. Pushing these >1Gb speeds into your LAN then depends on ethernet port line speeds (switches & client devices)

I have the Hub 5 in modem mode and just ordered a TPlink PCI experess 2.5gb card however the card is only lighting up on the 1gb connection and when I go into my router settings it's showing 1gb ports not 2.5gb I have the TUF-TX5400 router.

Could this be the wrong speed rated ethernet cable? between bother routers plus the one I use on my desktop?

If so what rated cable should I buy as I'll order some off Amazon?

Re: Recent BB upgrade

Which port on the hub 5 are you using?
Only the bottom port, just above the telephone ports is capable of 2.5Gbps on the hub 5. It should have a reddish sticker next to it to indicate the port speed.
