Do ntlworld addresses still keep working?

Hi,

I've not been a customer with Virgin for about 6 years yet remember setting up forwarding on an old ntlworld email address years ago and every so often, I will get something that was sent to that address.

Anyone else noticed that? So no longer a customer but Email account still active.

I think it's pot luck. You certainly can't rely on it as could disappear at any random moment.

I have an email addy on Virgin from the dial up days and it keeps going. I do put a lot of traffic through it such as forum updates.

Yeah I don't rely on it, just found it odd that there is an old e-mail box out there still receiving mail when I'm no longer a customer.

I have been a virgin media customer for over 12 years now & my ntlworld e/mail still works well .

I think the question was is it still working after leaving Virginmedia.

I know from being late paying the bill once that all the addys attached to the account go inactive at that point. I guess the same would apply after leaving VM.
