Rupert Murdoch "resigns"
Rupert Murdoch, 92, resigns as CEO and Chairman of News Corp and Fox, being succeeded by his son, Lachlan. Rupert Murdoch will become Emeritus Chairman.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/business-66881282
The irony of someone who inherited businesses from his father, is passing them on to his son Lachlan, and who owns Fox, News Corp (Times, Sunday Times, Sun), Dow Jones, the Wall Street Journal, whose daughter Prue is a Times Newspaper board member, his other daughter Elisabeth made her money by the company she set up being bought by News Corporation, whose son Lachlan (now Chairman) who has only ever worked for his father’s companies (he became a General Manager at 22, Deputy CEO at 24), and his son James became the CEO of BSkyB (a Murdoch company) at 33, lecturing people about "elites", is off the scale…

Irony jumps the track, careens wildly down the embankment, smashes through a circus, bulldozes a mink farm, and plows into the river, where it bursts into flame, then rolls over and explodes, raining down smoking clown shrapnel and flaming weasels over a terrified countryside.

It's pure nepotism. Out of all the available people you can't tell me that these people happened to be the best person for the job.
