Sky TV National Issue

Something going on this evening.

My box died multiple times (just went blank, and stopped responding).
I had to power cycle it each time, each time it failed, the mini's went off as well.

After the third time I went looking for help and there are hundreds of posts on Sky Community about this happening.

Tried to log into my account on My Sky, and it fails, saying something about Maintenance.

Bah, and its just done it again as I'm typing this.

Hmmm, huge spike on down detector.
Multiple reports in the national papers, something has broken.

---------- Post added at 23:43 ---------- Previous post was at 23:29 ----------

Moved to current affairs as it seems a national outage.

Re: Sky TV National Issue

Went off a few times here, I thought it was the Sky Q box failing so tried calling sky to get a message saying all there systems were undergoing maintenance and to call back later. Couldn't log in to mysky app or the sky forum either.

Yeah my box was off when I come home from work. Green button was on but no signal message on screen. Turned off at the wall then back on and it all seems fine now so far anyway. What I don't understand is why are Sky being so secretive about this issue?

Me too, around 9:00.

I had to reboot it three times, and it was off again this morning.

but seems to be working now.

I was thinking I was going to have to contact them today. Glad I've read this.

Covered by all the national papers, and other sites, but nothing at all on the BBC News site. Go figure.

I actually received a text on Saturday from Sky apologising for the issue and advising it had been rectified.

Why would the BBC want to keep quiet about a competitor having technical problems

Perhaps because anyone that doesn't have SKY won't care, and if you have it you all ready know

How is that relevant ? Lots of people dont have M&S accounts, or Co-op accounts, but their troubles were still covered.

Also, you dont know its a national issue unless they cover it, I didnt know it was more than just my box util I started searching online, and came across the news items.

Would have thought that most of the country has at some point used these shops, more than likely paid card. Have to say tend to watch sky news, never heard it mention there either.
