Health and safety help for a charity

I'm involved with a charity called Harlow Community Men's Shed, we either sit and talk about everything and nothing, but we also build stuff using a wide range of power tools (from drills to table saws and Planer thicknessers etc).

Now in a previous career I was involved in H&S, but I have lost touch.

So if there are and people here involved with H&S can you please help.

Im guessing thet we would be covered by the Health and Safety at work Act (I have the PDF) and The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (I have the PDF).

Are there any others I need.

Also I used to manage the database all the chemicals in the company, from Tippex upto Hydroclauric Acid. I used a system called CMS for a company called Sypol but this is very expensive and designed for companys.

Other that downloading the relevant datasheets.

Re: Health and safety help for a charity

Will you need to do any risk assessments?

I know these are from a union point of view but here're a few of docs that may start you thinking and help you do things correctly.
