Re: Royal Mail Solar-Powered Postboxes
Is our climate accustom to this sort of technology?

Re: Royal Mail Solar-Powered Postboxes
I would expect it just charges a battery, and uses very little power.
I have a solar charged LED light outside, it charges fine in any sort of daylight, and powers the LEDs ok at night.

Re: Royal Mail Solar-Powered Postboxes
Those led lights. Daylight does charge them but it only holds for a few hours thereafter in the dark then they dim significantly. Also the performance deteriorates in winter hours where daylight is scarce.
It would be fascinating to know how well these boxes are built.
