How to set up Amazon Echo 2nd generation without a smart phone?
Bought this yesterday, not from Amazon, how can I set it up without a smart phone? I have a Amazon Fire tablet, but it would seem I still need a smart phone, any ideas please (instructions in laymen's terms please).

Why does it seem you need a smartphone? You need the Alexa app but you can put that on your Fire tablet.

I have the Alexa app on my Amazon Fire, but it shows a picture of a smart phone for manual installation, no other options.

Thank you newapollo, but I have successfully installed the Echo without a Smart phone. I downloaded the Alexa app to my PC and selected 'things to do' and followed the instructions from there.

Yep, I dont have a smart phone, I downloaded the app onto my tablet to do it.
