Using old wire ducting

Hi all

First had cable installed about 17 years ago into our lounge. About 14 years ago we had a small extension built and relocation the main junction box there.

We now want to move the main junction box it back into the lounge. Can I presume installer will just use old ducting to rewire or would it have perished given the time it's been in. Lounge still has the old junction box there (never taken away)

Thanks for your help and time

Regards

Mike
