Re: Suggest members read this on Brexit

It's not that interesting. She hasn't been told she has no legal power to start Brexit, a court has been told that. The court has to make a decision and it's unlikely they rule I guess from what I've heard but, if they did, there would still be grounds for an appeal.

I really don't know why this issue has even raised it's head .Everybody concerned says they are working for democracy ,well democracy gave us the result so they should belt up and stand by the democratic decision of the people.

Re: Suggest members read this on Brexit

Her whole argument seems to be based on this "Are we now saying that we can go back to 19th-century, 18th-century politics where governments can overrule parliaments and take away people's rights, which will happen when we leave the EU."

Has she thought about the rights of the majority of people who voted for Brexit????

Re: Suggest members read this on Brexit

Some MPs have said the PM has no mandate to take us out of the EU. Oh yes she bloody well does - we the electorate gave her (or the government, at any rate) said mandate by telling them we wanted out!
