Isp Location
My location on the http://www.speedtest.net/ site has always been approx. where I am Glasgow but recently its been shifting , first Carlisle now I'm in Exeter ,this started to happen after I upgraded my avast package to include firewall and a new network message appeared . strange ,whats going on . Doesn't affect anything I know just OCD
Location by IP address is not guaranteed to be accurate. IP addresses can and do shift around, the database that SpeedTest is using isn't always going to be up to date.
Our office, which is based in Warrington, always shows as being in London.

Re: Isp Location
thanks for replying ,appreciate it ,yeah thought as much ,it had been same for a while ,years in fact then noticed it had moved few weeks ago so the brain kicked into overdrive
I have had the same ip address for at least 3 years now and up and till about a year ago speedtest.net always gave me Nottingham as my closest server (which it is) now it defaults to Sheffield
