Plusnet what a pain in the rear

Has anyone here had problems setting up plusnet?

A friend has switched from sky to Plusnet, connected the new router after he had a text to say line switch has been completed, after 4 failed attempts of registering automatically online i called customer service and spoke to a woman that said she had done it her end but wait 15 minutes for the router to restart. We went out to the chippy and came back about 25 mins later and still no net so i manually rebooted the router and still no net it was asking to activate using his details, after another 2 attempts it said it had successfully registered and router will reboot to finish within 10 minutes. We ate our food and went back 30 minutes and still no joy. I rebooted the router and again no joy so i once again rang plusnet and spoke to a guy that knew his stuff and said it didn't activate so when i was on the phone he sent the activation to the router which then worked.

What a hassle though to get it to work.

Re: Plusnet what a pain in the rear

Sounds like the TR69 messed up. I am currently looking at Plusnet for a business line. I didn't know there was a section on this forum to ask about other ISP's

I need a business ADSL ISP with a SLA on the phone line or broadband, any suggestions please (apart from Plusnet of course)

I have FTTC and won't touch Virgin. I need some form of redundancy which I am told ADSL would offer as it's on another cabinet?

Thanks
