TiVo : Most HD Sky Movies on Demand are Missing

Over the last week or so the number of HD Movies on Sky Movies on demand are a lot less then the SD version of Sky Movies on Demand

Is ther a problem with uploading of HD Sky movies on demand onto Tivo

There are a couple of Links on the Virgin Community forum that are experiancing the same problems

How many are people expecting to see? In SE London I'm seeing 124 Sky Movies On Demand (excluding movie 'specials') which is around the number I've always had

in the past i have had about the same number of HD Sky Movies on demand as the SD versions of Sky Movies on demand

When the new releases of Sky Movies come onto the Tivo Box on a friday. all the new releases of Sky Movies on demand are in SD but tend not to show in the HD Sky Movies on demand folder

Sometimes the HD version is added later but sometimes not at all . An example was 'The Boy Next Door' Which came out last Friday 29th Jan. This appeared as a SD Movie on Sky Movies on demand but as of Yesterday 1/2/16 this film was not in the HD Folder of Sky Movies on demand

i thought that most Sky Movies on demand would be in HD and SD formats

There should be way more than 124 , Now TV movies advertise over 1,000.

Having been home to check at 1200 Tue 2/2/16

The HD movie ' the boy next door' does not appear in any HD folder on Sky Movies on demand

if i use the 'search and discover' feature on tivo for the movie 'The boy next door' then choose watch from on demand both the HD and SD versions of this moview appear

I then try and play the HD version of this movie. I then get a error code of 6096 tv on demand is unavailable

The SD version using the above search and discover route will play the said movie

as i said before the SD folder in the Sky movies on demand for this movie will play

I have just phoned 150 and the automated lady run some tests and said there were problems and put me though to the 'indian' call centre

The lady at the call centre said see will pass this though to level 2 and monitor it for 24hrs


I have not got access to the virgin community forum though this PC and will post on there when i get back home

I have just checked and can confirm the film will play for me so looks like it must be a regional issue - I'm in the Enfield, North London area.

That indicates the film has failed to load onto your local VOD server. Calling in was the right thing to do.

I presume i will not need a engineer callout to my home for this fault

I presume i will have to phone in again in 24hrs if nothing has happened

The lady at the call centre said she had not had any other reports of this problem and was going to wait and see if anybody else was going to report this

would there be any sort of fix time for this

The service status for my area on the virgin media website says no known issues/problems for TV

That's the HD total MM, there's over 1500 titles listed in total - I know as I was 'bribed' to count them a short time ago!

I'd have still thought there should be more HD movies.

Have to agree with you, the number is very low. I would assume most if not all are available on Sky Demand - not asking you to count

No, nothing that can be done in your home. It's a fault at your local headend.

Let's just say I've selected All and got over 124 HD just from movies starting with A and B.

Looking through all the list the vast majority are available in both SD and HD with some also in 3D.

On Tivo There used be roughly the same amount of movies in SD and HD
