Migration of V+ customers to TiVo appears to have begun.

VM are sending out emails to V+ and TV Drive customers inviting them to upgrade to a 1tb TiVo at no charge.

This is because the closedown of the older boxes will begin in January 2016.

The first stage will be that Sky Sports HD and Sky Movies HD will no longer be available on legacy boxes.

The email will take customers to an information page and allow bookings for installation to be made.

Has anybody received an email yet?

This is affecting anyone with a Scientific Atlanta V+ box. Anyone with a newer Samsung V+ is unaffected, as the Samsung V+ is MPEG4 capable.
