Does VM serve the area where Buckingham Palace is?

Just wondered, as after seeing her living room this morning, the queen has Sky (along with her leather bound Radio Times!)

Out of pure idle curiosity, could she have the choice of being able to have cable if she wished to have it?

I guess it's one hell of a multiroom subscription, though tbh I doubt she has to pay for it at all ;-)

Wonder why Sky don't capitalise on this and go for an "as appointed by the queen" tagline

Re: Does VM serve the area where Buckingham Palace is?

Just had an idea to answer my own question- ish.

Buckingham Palace has it's own unique postcode- SW1A 1AA.

A search of the VM database reveals the the Royal Guards House and the palace kitchen are listed- but not the queens private quarters, I wonder if these details are generated from past queries?? In all likelihood, it appears therefore, that the ruling monarch cannot have VM even if she wanted to!

There's probably some ancient law that says that she could order VM to provide her with services- perhaps she got a 50% off Sky code for her telly though . I'm only half, joking, as it is well known that the queen is very thrifty when it comes to expenditure. One of her sons once took the corgis out for a walk in the grounds as a child and lost it's lead. Apparently, the queen told him to go back out and not come back until he'd found it as "dog leads cost money". Good for her!!

Can't imagine that it was her personally that rang retentions though

It says that services are not available, but that could change as they are extending their network.

She would need a lot of powerline adaptors or a heck of a load of WiFi extenders lmao

Don't encourage them! If they start calling themselves 'Royal Sky', I will blame you!

I don't think they can without her actual approval.

Oh right, I wondered if they would need her approval.

Our company once supplied buffets to her husband, I was tempted to enquire if we could say "By appointment"
