Also shows the equipment they'll be using for it, the Hitron CGNv4? Is that a new thing or have I missed VM Business developments recently.

It's a new thing. The existing kit couldn't do 300Mb reliably and they didn't want to use the residential CPE.
People may note that their postcode may show they can only receive up to 200Mb. Unlike the 200Mb residential deployments where sales insisted on new customers everywhere being able to order it the 300Mb is only going to be released in areas when the capacity is there.
I doubt the upload will stay at 15Mb for long either

Interesting that the business side is getting a completely different device. I mean, given the history of the poor superhub performance on the business side I guess it's not a surprise.

If anyone wants the manual: https://www.upc.ro/pdf/manuale/inter...2014-01-28.pdf
Like the Hub 3.0, this is a device used in other LG areas already.

See if any of our avid speed testers or torrent enthusiastics fancy £75/month + phone or £80/month standalone

Re: Virgin Media Business 300Mb announced
Can't see why they'd want a phone as it comes with IP telephoney - so I'm told.

It looks good had one in the office was getting nearly 300 but some config was wrong waiting to be fixed but for small companies it should be a good product

Re: Virgin Media Business 300Mb announced
When I phone sales the told me no modem mode at the moment. They have said it will be available at the end of the month (I am not sure whether they mean this month or next).

Re: Virgin Media Business 300Mb announced
Does anyone know if routed subnets work with the new faster speeds? If so I might have a look at getting an upgrade for work

Re: Virgin Media Business 300Mb announced
Also no option for routed fixed IP subnet as per the current 50 Mb/s service on the SH1 just a single fixed IP address
Without modem-only mode that makes it less useful. Does anyone know if a multiple IP address option will be available for these new services?
The manual for the Hitron device doesn't show a place where the PPP/L2TP options like username/password would be set as is available of the business SH1

Re: Virgin Media Business 300Mb announced
Routed subnets are not available yet. I was told that multiple IPs should be available in May.

Re: Virgin Media Business 300Mb announced
Thanks Nick - guess I'll have to wait a bit longer then.
I have a need for a router sitting behind the SH to have a public routable IP address without NAT.
It concerns me that this has been launched without that option, as people could be caught out.
I guess again the firmware is not yet ready for that option

Re: Virgin Media Business 300Mb announced
It seems not... I was inquiring on Friday and did some testing with putting all of our services on a single IP only to be told today we would have their router rather than modem mode. Whilst I could use their router in the interim I don't know how well it will work with our PBX.
