Won't cable me up

I requested 152mb broadband where I live. Virgin say I'm 13 metres from a virgin box, but they won't cable me up, so have had to resort to a vast 2mb connection. Anyone have similar experiences?

Are you absolutely sure you're 13 metres from a Virgin box? Is your house newer than the others surrounding it? 13 metres is nothing.

it all depends on where you are... ive come accross this a few times, where the road is cabled but because the property is set back, or down a shared drive or even on the opposite side of the road virgin will refuse to cable it... the rule as far as im aware is 4m or over is a different construction team and virgin wont pay for just 1 property, my road is a great example of the 4 terraced houses in my row only the first 2 are cabled (one is mine) and opposite all 4 are not cabled...

I would suggest to try if possible to get more people to sign up if you are further down than where the 4" duct runs to
