Does/Can Virgin TV interfere with the broadband service?

I am looking to get Virgin TV and switch from Sky TV,

But I don't want my Virgin Internet to be affected by the TV service so wanted to ask if this can happen or of the two services are separated?

Thanks!

Essentially your whole street is sharing one cable, so another Tivo added to the other 50odd CPE wont make a diference

The TV signals are on the cable whether you are receiving them or not.

Of course, if levels are too low to tolerate a splitter, then that will need attention.
