Question Poor speeds in Leicester?

Anybody else in Leicester getting ridiculously slow speeds in the evenings these last few days.

Feels like it starts to get slow around 20:30.

This is the speed test to the local speedtest.net server:

Pings to the same server are all <1ms and no drops

Usually I get ~100MB+

I haven't been able to test during the day yet

My (seperate) router graphs show that I'm getting no more that 100KB/s, So it's not another device stealing bandwidth.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Dan

Re: Poor speeds in Leicester?

Cool, thanks.

I also only have one downstream, but I can't remember what it had last time I looked, so didn't think it was anything to worry about.

Re: Poor speeds in Leicester?

You should have a minimum of 4 and anything up to 8. One downstream indicates a serious problem if it's affecting everybody.

Re: Poor speeds in Leicester?

Which part of Leicester? When I used to live just off Welford Road my speeds were awful, I was told it's a known problem in the area and I'd be lucky if it was rectified any time soon. That was a few years ago though so I don't know if it's sorted.
