'Eat Well For Less' Rubbish
Just watched this.
husband and wife and 2 little mouths.
they're supposed to spend around £327 a week on shopping bill.
we seen the savings they can make by buying a cheaper tin of beans and stuff. we see their typical daily meal menu for the week.
at the end he says he can save them over £100 a week on their bill.by buying cheaper brands.
bearing in mind that we saw what they typically eat in the week.
it is physically impossible to spend over £327 on shopping for a husband and wife and 2 little mouths.
impossible to save over £100 a week by buying their usual 2 tins of beans for 10p cheaper than their usual. and saving a few pence here and there on other items over a week.
the only way this would be possible is if they're sitting there forcing food down their gobs 24 hours a day.
No wonder families on benefits are starving when you need at least £200 a week for a food bill!

Re: 'Eat Well For Less' Rubbish
I found the show to be 5 minutes of info surrounded by pointless fluff and padding. And hard to believe the food bills as you say.

You dont need that amount, I spent less than that with a wife and three teenage daughters, £200 a week is just ridiculous, the original £327 quoted is out of this world, what the hell are they buying ?

There are 3 adults in our family and we spend around £100 to £150 pw, we shop wisely and look for offers.
Even if we bought the top most expensive brands we would hit £200+

As some posters say there is no way they should have spent that amount as if they look around there are many offers and discounts out there if people look.

Re: 'Eat Well For Less' Rubbish
The only rubbish being talked is by those who reckon they can't survive without spending hundreds of pounds every week on food. Shop wisely, avoid convenience foods an learn to cook and it's easy to have very good tasty and healthy food without it costing a fortune. It always amazes me how many people reckon they don't know how to cook yet can't even be bothered to look for recipes, instructions and even videos online which show all you need to know. The truth is some people are plain lazy and would rather whine about the cost of stuff than do something about it.

That's more like it. I live on my own and £45 is a big shop for me. Mostly it is around £30 and their is the odd week when I don't need to shop at all.

Re: 'Eat Well For Less' Rubbish
My wife and I could eat healthy fresh meals, snap for work and weekend crap for a week for about £45.
This would include all treats, fresh roasted coffee beans for our machine, some beers for me and so on.

Re: 'Eat Well For Less' Rubbish
The two of us eat and drink well for less than £100 a week. Can't believe £337. Must be caviar and Bolly all the time.
