Batten down the hatches (it's Hurricane Bawbag)!
It's starting to get windy ... very windy. Schools here are closing at lunchtime on the assumption that the worst of the weather is due in the afternoon, but this storm looks like its coming in quicker than forecast. Central Scotland (where I am) has a Met Office red alert out for the wind at the moment.
If I'm feeling psychotic I might go and try to get some wild photos later today.
Anyone else feeling the effects yet? How far south into England have folks been warned to prepare for a battering?

The weather app on my new phone is insisting that it is a bright sunny day and yet it's wildly windy and raining at the moment..and of course this was the morning I chose for the hairdressers.

Quite breezy here, this storm is a taster for the biggie being shown for 10 days time....
Today -
Next weekend -
If that happened I think DanielF would be able to walk to his homeland.

Quite windy here in the Midlands.
I can hear the wind blowing through the roof panels.

re: Batten down the hatches (it's Hurricane Bawbag)!
its extremely windy in liverpool, howling windy infact
also lots of rain and bloody huge hail stones, the dog is refusing to go out and has now taken to relieving himself on the outside of the conservatory and then running back indoors!!!!
due to the fact our car thinks its a hovercraft (stupid rear wheel drive and hugh wide wheels, yeah my hubbys choice) its safer to walk lol
oh the joys, roll on the summer so i can complain its to hot!!!

Oldham is always windy, imagine building a town centre on the top of a hill.
It's been really grim for a few days what with winds that blow you off your feet, sleet, rain and freezing cold. Roll on the snow....

Love that the storm here in Scotland has been renamed and is the top trending tweet in the world

Yorkshire's been issued an Amber Alert for Wind of 70mph+ today. It doesn't feel too bad right now but I'll wait and see... was a bit blustery on the m/way today.

Damn, this could be the last straw for my dodgy conservatory roof..
Just a bit gusty in Lincoln right now but if it gets worse I'm fully exposed, right on the hilltop.

re: Batten down the hatches (it's Hurricane Bawbag)!
I just brought some of the more vulnerable looking outside christmas ornaments in...... 2 days after putting them out.. More Ho Hum than Ho Ho Ho.
On the plus side I've already done 3 diy jobs that have been needing done. She who must be obeyed hadn't even started nagging yet
