BBC Extra Red Button Streams Are Always Unusable
I'm assuming this is common problem. I cannot ever use the RB streams for, say, no commentator in the World Cup, or different sound stages at Glastonbury. The picture and sound always break up, jitter, hopeless. Completely unusable, it's insulting that Virgin advertise it.

I know these are also on separate channels, but surely they should work using the RB? Perhaps it's just a symptom of the never-ending BBC IPlayer missing frames problem.

I think either your box has a problem or maybe you have an area fault.

I listened to Blondie from Glastonbury on Friday night on the red button when i got in from the pub. The video and sound were fine, shame about her voice!

I agree shugg... I have no end of problems with BBci , either On Demand (lol cos it never is) or red streams...

It buffers breaks up, stutters...and generally ends in an error.... appauling...

The Red Button channels and streams are fine and am loving the extra courts at Wimbledon and the football options....

Why have you not reported it, Mobes? Don't just put up with it - I'm sure they can fix this for you quite quickly.

Its in hand mate

It's odd tho, although im having some strength issues on and off, our Tv phone and broadband (160 g or summat daft lol) have generally been brilliant.

All other On Demand stuff...no issues

But BBCi stream/on demand ect have always been utterly rubbish.

When we have them out over the enxt week i shall deffo bring it up.

We have seen exactly the same problem here (Nottingham) with a brand new TIVO box. The extra channels you get through the red button are unwatchable. Worst case they are all pixelated. Best case the image looks OKish (far from HD) but the balls jumps across the screen in steps, it seems to have a low FPS rate.

Only channel 996 is HD as far as I am aware....
