On Demand on TV Anywhere App
This morning I tried to watch something on the Ipad TV Anywhere app. I found the program I wanted to watch and it had the little symbol next to the program. I touched the watch now button I entered my PIN number. Then got the message " Your show is now displayed on the ..."
and it started on the TV. There was no option to watch on TV or Ipad as I normally get.
I thought as the app is called "TV Anywhere" I could watch On Demand on the Ipad.
Am I wrong or am I missing something?

Only certain channels will stream to the iPad.
Their is a black/grey thick line about a third of the way down. Second menu in from the left you will see a drop down menu.
3 choices. all, favourite or streaming channels.
Only the list in the streaming channels will play on the iPad.

The program I wanted to watch (BGT results) is in this list and it has the Streaming symbol in the top left corner and the catch up symbol. But it won't let me watch it on the Ipad. I've also tried other programs on other channels and nothing on catch up can be watch on the Ipad.

Do you thing they could be done by trading standards? Or maybe re-name it "Watch Some Things In Some Places"

Agreed it seems stupid and very very short sighted to not allow it to be used on 3G

Ok.
You can only watch streaming channels that are currently broadcasting.
You can watch previous programmes when they have dropped into the on demand schedule and then you can only watch them on TV if you are navigating through the on demand app.
Not very tv anywhere is it.

Nearly every other service allows 3G/4G streaming including IPlayer , Netflix , Sky Go , Now TV , BT Sport app its a strange omission from a product called TV Anywhere

Could it be a broadcasting rights issue? In the other examples, they tend to be the ones that own the rights in this country.

It must be, there can't be a technical reason
