Catch up Buffering

If I try to watch anything on catch up in HD the program is imposable to watch it continually buffering. SD is OK most of the time but sometimes it's the same. Is it just me or does anyone else have this?

Re: Catch up Buffering

Just tried to watch something on Netflix. Very poor picture quality and buffered several times during the hour long programme.

Re: Catch up Buffering

The main problem with Internet TV is that it can't deliver at a consistent quality.

For me Netflix has been generally fine apart from occasional peak hours when it drops to 720 or 480. After a while you get used to watching the start of shows or movies in blurryvision... iPlayer seemed to have got better but then last night watching Wallander in HD it buffered at several key moments and I had to rewind to catch subtitles I'd missed, only for it to skip at the same point again. I've rarely had problems with the services available on my TV itself, but it doesn't have Netflix or iPlayer so I can't compare them on there directly.

Is this on TIVO ? quite a few reported this a while back. My parents regularly see this issue they also have buffering issues on YouTube personally I've never seen any of these issues with Netflix on both a 9mb Sky ADSL line or BT Infinity.

Re: Catch up Buffering

After a glitch on the i-Player for a while over the last few weeks, this seems to be working fine now, even in HD.

I have never experienced problems with Netflix, apart from during the recent period when I was getting a message that I did not have access to the internet.

There was work being carried out in my area, so the temporary problems I experienced may have been local rather than national.
