EXPANSYS safe to use?
After having a bit of a nightmare with Amazon UK where I purchased a Google Nexus 10 which upon receipt didn't turn on and had a US charger.
When I was told to return it to HONG KONG, I was understandably upset, especially as there was no indication the seller wasn't UK based or that the item was a grey import. Whilst I fight this fight with Amazon, I came upon another deal with a company called EXPANSYS, now I have had zero dealings with these, so I don't know how good/bad they are.
I do know the price is good, and it has a UK plug on it, so that's a step in the right direction.
EXPANSYS, good or not ?

Re: EXPANSYS safe to use?
Yes Expansys are perfectly safe to use.
So the Amazon purchase was from a market seller and not Amazon themselves.

I've purchased from them a few years back, but after a few issues with their service I vowed never to touch them again - and I never have. Shoddy outfit - avoid if you can.

Re: EXPANSYS safe to use?
Amazon themselves usually have decent customer support and are reliable.
Amazon Marketplace is basically eBay. You're supposed to do your own research.
Expansys is fine.

Re: EXPANSYS safe to use?
Not sure what you mean about marketplace, I was on the amazon site, the seller has no indication they're foreign. I went back and scoured their listings & about page to make sure.
To be honest I thought items on Amazon were hosted by other people anyway (much like ebay)
Amazons filters arent very good, I'd like to be able to view only UK sellers for example (or at least know if an item is UK or a grey import)
At least with Ebay you get transparency on this where it'll say in the listing itself 'comes from XXXXX country'
Buyer beware is one thing, but in my case the only indication the item was foreign was when I printed out the returns label and the address was to Hong Kong

Re: EXPANSYS safe to use?
Amazon Marketplace is the place companies other than Amazon list items on the Amazon website to sell. Any item that says anything other than "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon" is a marketplace item sold by a different company.
Amazon initially started off only selling things directly themselves. The addition of other sellers in an eBay like fashion was relatively recent.
Ebay have also been starting to hide the origin country of goods as well, there's no more transparency there either.

Also watch out for items listed as 'Fulfilled By Amazon' as these are also marketplace items but the stock is stored and shipped by Amazon. It is not Amazon stock though.
