Moving apps etc. to new phone
Just getting my new dual SIM phone set up and I'm wondering what to do about the free Apps etc. which are stored on my old phone's SD card. I'm guessing they won't just work on the new phone but do I need to delete them from the SD card before I put it in the new phone and download the Apps again?
I'm also wondering if it's possible to copy and move my texts and What's App messages to the new phone in some way.
Cheers as always.

Re: Moving apps etc. to new phone
The new phone should allow you to transfer messages, text to the new phone.
On Android you just go to the market and download the apps, some apps like database apps should have a export function.

Thanks. How do you actually transfer the messages and texts though?

Can exactly recall but when you turn on the new phone there is a transfer data option, you just need to turn on bluetooth on both handsets

Oh Bluetooth, didn't think of that. Thought there might be a way to save them to SD card and do it that way but I can't find any options for that.
Need to do some more homework evidently...

Re: Moving apps etc. to new phone
You can back up you contacts to a file, but I just have mine saved in goggle so that any google device can access them (obviously the same account is needed)

Re: Moving apps etc. to new phone
Yes I backed my contacts up onto the old SD card and loaded them into the new phone from there. I was hoping I could copy the texts and What'sApp messages that way too.
