Bluetooth earphones changing volume based on location.

Hi all

I cycle to work every day and use a mixture of on road and off road paths.

On road (20%) and off road (80%).

I listen to music via my Samsung S2 phone to some bluetooth earphones and wondered if there is an app which can adjust my volume levels based on my location.

Ie On road very quiet and off road louder....this will save me stopping get my phone out my backpack and adjusting the volume.

I would need to change it about 4 time on my route and wondered if there was anything out there....

Would appreciate any advice (requirement based on saftey in terms of hearing traffic)

Regards

Mike

And that is why, as a daily commuting cyclist myself (about 50/50 road/cycle track), I don't wear headphones and would urge others not to as well.

Re: Bluetooth earphones changing volume based on location.

You could maybe use tasker & autolocations (geofences) to do this, but it would be fiddly. The volume adjusting profile is easy, the 'where' to do it, not so much.
Good luck.

Heres some helpful links.

Re: Bluetooth earphones changing volume based on location.

There's easy ways and there's hard ways.

An easy way would be put the phone in your pocket or use a headset with a volume control on it.

Harder ways could be to use an app to sample background noise and adjust automatically based on that, or the hardest way being using something like Tasker as mentioned above.
