Can someone check my calculations, please

Hi

I hate haggling, but think I'm paying over the odds for what I get from Virgin and would like to check my figures before phoning them up.

At the moment I've paid the annual phone rental charge, so that doesn't come into the monthly price.

From this month's bill, I pay £32.65 for BB up to 30 and TV M+, (using a V+ HD box)

From the website, it seems that since I have phone line rental already, I could get BB up to 30 for £15.50 and TV M+ for £8, making a total of £23.50.

This seems to be too big a difference, so where am I going wrong?

Thanks

Thanks jb66

Yes I noticed that, but I don't have TiVo and the V+ HD box is £5 less than TiVo

Re: Can someone check my calculations, please

On Virgin website, under TV packages, M+ with Tivo is £13 a month, but M+ with V+ is only £8 per month.

I don't see an option for v+ just a VHD

Sorry. You're quite right I was confusing the V+HD with the VHD, so it would seem that the best price is the Essential Collection at £28.

I see this comes with a new Super Hub. We've had our Super Hub for over a year now, so I don't know whether this is the 'new' one.

Re: Can someone check my calculations, please

TalkTalk and Sky have demo stands in town centre just now offering good deals, but have been happy with Virgin except for price.

Took plunge and phoned Virgin. Spoke to very helpful girl and ended up with good deal, better than Essential Package, with all I have just now plus an update to Tivo and reduced Tivo installation charge. Deal is not time limited although obviously new contract which is OK.

Happy with outcome.
