General Anyone else using an IPv6 Broker?

I got bored tonight so I set up an IPv6 tunnel broker on my router. The long and short of it is that I now have IPv6 addressing for all of my devices, over my single-IPv4-only Virgin connection. Pretty neat, albeit a bit useless.

It was remarkably easy to set up, though that's mostly thanks to the Asus router I have. I heard a rumour that the next-gen games consoles will all support IPv6 so it's nice to know that I'll be ready, even if Virgin isn't.

It's not all fun and games though, there's a definitely speed hit with the tunnel broker:

Though from what I can tell, pings times are largely the same (+/- about 3ms).

It's also nice to know that I have an allocation of (I believe) 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 (18.466 quintillion) IP addresses, which should keep me going for a while.

A US IPV6 pop won't hurt if you are connecting to stuff in the US (hey, would it get you to US only stuff like a US host VPN?), but if coming back to EU, that means two long transits.

Was looking at Sixxs - looks like they have some UK & EU pops

Had a TBB graph going for a while, you can definitely see a difference in pings:

I wonder when VM will start rolling this out themselves. I guess the superhub would have to have a reasonable IPv6 firewall built into it first?

I've run IPV6 via the Hurricane Electric Tunnel Broker service for a few years now, it was very easy to setup on my Asus RT-N16 router running the IPV6 build of the Tomato custom firmware.

Other then ensuring my own website is accessible on IPV6 i cant honestly say i've found much use for IPV6 sadly. Very few website are V6 enabled, even some from large corporations you would expect to be.

Like Kushan mentioned i think i read somewhere the Xbox One will use IPV6 by default if available, so that will be pretty neat if true.
