VIP Pack Pricing

I've received a couple of letters from VM lately saying I'd be better off upgrading to the VIP Collection. I'm currently on the old VIP 50 Pack, which is due to be upgraded to 120Mb BB shortly in any case.

Looking at this page http://store.virginmedia.com/bundles/vip.html the VIP Collection is £113.99 per month, with the only difference to my current package being 100Mb BB.

I am currently paying £115.05, and that includes a 2nd TIVO. I'm assuming the VIP Collection with a 2nd TIVO is £116.99? Are they trying to get me to increase my monthly spend, sign a new 12 month deal and get absolutely nothing extra or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can advise.

Actually I've just remembered I've got Talk International 5 which is not part of VIP50, so this is probably more again on top of the standard pricing

They're recommending a lot of people for the VIP pack that don't want or need it.

Fair enough trying to get people to upgrade, but I'd be just be getting the same thing and paying more for it?!

The current VIP Collection includes Talk Unlimited Extra so covers 0845 / 0870 and all UK Mobiles

Your VIP 50 will just have Talk Unlimited

Normal pricing is £7 between the two talk plans

Thanks Ben, I knew I had to be missing something. I don't think that would really benefit me to be honest. Do you know how much the VIP Collection (including 2 Tivo's) plus Talk International 5 would be?

Re: VIP Pack Pricing

Well with current TiVo pricing it would be £113.99 + £5 for the extra TiVo + £5 for Talk International 5. So £123.99

If you are on older TiVo pricing, then then I would expect that would apply for the addtional TiVo box

Thanks Ben, I've already been shafted once over pricing of the second Tivo. I signed up when it was free for life and then they started charging me £3 a month during the April price increase last year. They put me on a discount as apparently the system wouldn't let them fix it, and that disappeared after about 2 months. I'd already spent about 2 hours on the phone so got sick of trying to get it fixed in the end. Forgive me if I don't trust them not to increase it to £5. Either way it's still going to be at least £5 a month more for something I don't need so clearly better off where I am. Thanks for your help, much appreciated as always.
