TiVo : Noisy hard drive - TiVO

My TiVO makes a really loud hard drive noise every now and again for an extended period of time. The only way to stop the noise is to tap lightly on the top of the TiVO.

Should I be requesting a replacement, as it drives me nuts?

Probably, but you could try standing it on something soft first (a cut up mouse mat?).

mine does the same....but i dont think its the hard drive

i think its a small vibration from the hard drive onto the case...i just place something on top of it which cures it

Mine makes a similar noise. Had it replaced but it still does the same!
