What does 48 hours mean ?
If I download a movie from Tivo which is available for 48hrs what does that mean exactly. I have one now that says available for watching until 22:00 tonight. Does that mean you can start watching up to that time or have to have finsihed watching it by then. Secondly, assuming it means you can start it up to that time, what happens if you start at one minute before but then at some point pause it for several minutes - will the end get chopped ?

If I remember correctly, you can continue playing it beyond the end time, and you can fast-forward, but it will stop if you try to pause or rewind it.

when you start to watch the film the 48 hours run from that point - you can stop it and pause it but basically have 48 hours to finish watching it once started (am 99% sure)

Re: What does 48 hours mean ?
For those who are interested I started watching at 21:55, then at 22:05 paused it for twenty minutes. Finished watching at 00:10 - 48 hours and 15 minutes after the start time + the length of the film (1hr55mins). So, it seems it is a little bit flexible.

They use the same 'flexibility' when defining time for repairs...
1 Virgin Hour = n * Standard hour where n is a random number of their choosing

Re: What does 48 hours mean ?
you can start watching it 1 minute before the 48 hours run out and continue to watch the movie in full.
it is available "at any time to watch infull in the 48 hour window.
hope that made sense

That seems to agree with my experimental data - except how long can you pause it for as over and above that period ?
