Wireless issue since firmware update

Superhub has received the update firmware and now my wireless is 54Mbps or less although the signal strength is described by Windows 7 as excellent. I'm in the same room as the Superhub. I have attempted to change to the various speed settings to no avail. I didn't have this problem before the update and could achieve 300Mbps in the next room.

I used inssider to select the best wifi channel and that hasn't helped at all.

A wired connection gives me 108Mbps down and 4.8Mbps up.

Please help?

Re: Wireless issue since firmware update

Forgive my asking, but is the SH set to 2.4 GHz?

Also when you say you could achieve 300 meg wi-fi previously, but 108Meg wired, you're not comparing the same thing. So please tell us more about the problem.

Re: Wireless issue since firmware update

OBSS is disabled.

Superhub is set to 2.4Ghz.

I have noticed that since I have had the firmware applied to the superhub the connection is 54Mbps or less and so test the wired connection to see if I had a problem with a wired connection. Wired connection is 1Gbps.

I have searched the web and found an article from intel regarding the limitation of 54Mbps connections if the wireless security is not setup correctly but I haven't changed any of that at all.

Fixed it myself.

The update changed my wireless security over to WPA and over 54Mbps is not support by the stands mentioned in my link above.

Thanks for the replys though. Learned something new today.
