Virgin on Watchdog again
www.bbc/watchdog/Virgin media
I know there was a thread on here concerning VM, but today again they were on Watchdog.
I found it totally amusing to note that the stupidity of VM is to waste money on delivering leaflets to an area where there is NO CABLE.
Also delivery of leaflets to areas offering special deals to customers BUT its only when you read the samll print it clearly tells you NEW CUSTOMERS only.
The stupid reply that VM gave to Watchdog was 'we will look into this matter'
Now before members state that this letters are delivered by private companies, WRONG, leaflets are delivered under the directions of the sales teams of VM, so surely it does not take a mindreader to think - oh we will deliver to an area where there is no cable or plans to have cable.
If l am not wrong isnt this the SECOND time this company has been on Watchdog to deal with complaints.

Arthur, don't you read the advice I gave you (twice) about hyperlinks?
Just typing in random words vaguely connected to the subject doesn't work - I think you need to go back to the Witless Protection Scheme......

Well - no you couldn't - you don't give us a link if there IS one either.
This is why I tend to not bother reading your stuff until someone else posts a link.
Perhaps if you made the effort people would take you more seriously?

Re: Virgin on Watchdog again
So let me get this straight, if there is a link he does not bother to give a link. If there is no link he goes to the bother of making up a link. Priceless

I get same type of leaflets and letters from BT saying as an existing customer I can get special deals, I have not been a BT customer for over 15 years, BT even removed the drop lead from the telegraph pole 10 years ago!
So it is not just Virgin that sends there leaflets

Re: Virgin on Watchdog again
Well there has to be something wrong somewhere, l used to work for two companies that bought up to date lists to customers in new areas of London and Middlesex and then phone them or deliver leaflets.
I know for a fact that VM send out sales reps to local areas to find customers in cabled areas. IF anyone walks down a road and its cabled area - there will be a green box -right, and then you look on the pavement and there is a small box that sends cables into the house.
Its different with BT, you see phone polls. With VM you see green boxes etc.
What l am saying is that it is a total waste of money to send out leaflets in an areas that doesn't have that service, VM must pay thousands of pounds on leaflet waste, wehere they put could this to good use.

Re: Virgin on Watchdog again
A quick video tutorial might help Arthur... Follow these steps to copy and paste a web page into your forum post. The video shows how to do it for sending links via email, just apply the same steps to your forum posts.
