BBC1 listings tonight

The listings on my Tivo for BBC1 tonight are saying inside out from 19:30-22:25, it should only be a 30 minute program. BBC1 HD are fine. Who does it have to be reported to or is it to late?

BBC 1 ..... Inside Out is showing 19:30 - 20:00 with EastEnders 20:00 -20:30 etc on my TiVo, so not quite sure why yours is showing what it is.

Maybe a reboot will sort you out?

Re: BBC1 listings tonight

Strange that on my V+, it is showing correctly on BBC1 Eng(channel 861), but not on BBC ONE(channel 101).

Re: BBC1 listings tonight

Just checked BBC 1 Eng(861) and that too is showing the correct timings as is BBC 1 AD(851) so I don't know what is happening. It looks like a regional problem. Maybe if you ask over on the VM Community Forum they will be able to help.

Hi everyone, Happy New Year.

We have been working hard in the background over the past few months, and believe we have made good progress on improving the accuracy and reliability of TiVo guide data. However, we do know that errors can slip through and some customers are occasionally experiencing a few problems.

To address this, we have launched the email address below for you to directly report TiVo guide errors. We will attempt to fix these errors before they become an issue for your recordings or viewing experience, obviously the earlier you spot an issue, the more likely it'll be resolved before it causes an issue.

We won't be able to give you an email response to every submission but we will take action on all of them, wherever it is possible to do so.

The email address is:

TivoGuideErrors@virginmedia.co.uk

Regards

Stephen.

Sky guide is showing a special Panorama about Jimmy Saville at 10.35 and there's no mention of it on TiVo.

Re: BBC1 listings tonight

Just tried to setup a remote record for the Panorama as I'm out tonight.

Listings are showing Have I Got A Bit More News For You.

Not much use to me that!

Re: BBC1 listings tonight

Mad Bee will the TiVo not just record what it thinks is 'Have I Got A Bit More News For You'? I know it doesn't adjust the recording if a programme is, for example, running late. I have had a substitute progamme recorded in the past when my scheduled recording has been cancelled due to extra time.... grrrrrrr I hate football. so I think the timing is the overriding issue rather than the actual programme.

This is why I can't see what the fuss is all about with Tivo. I think i've even seen someone say do a manual record. Tivo is rubbish when changes happen at the last moment to the schedule. Might be able to record two weeks in advance but if something changes tonight forget it.

Re: BBC1 listings tonight

Read the TV guide in the paper then. That'll be more reliable. Tivo is by no means perfect, however it is the finest PVR to date. You obviously haven't noticed the way that it will record a programme that clashes when all 3 tuners are in use. It will find the next broadcast of that episode and record it. Sky have a dynamic epg, VM do not.

Re: BBC1 listings tonight

Interestingly the V+ EPG picked up all the BBC1 changes last night. None of the "series links" updated themselves - i.e. I've got Panorama & HIGABMNFY both on series-record, and the 10.35pm slot just got dumped, I manually corrected them both once the EPG was correct.

But the listings were updated during the day.

Re: BBC1 listings tonight

One of the things that I like about the TiVo is that it remembers series links that I had forgotten - so last night it picked up the new series of Body of Proof (I think that is what it is called) whereas I think I'm right in saying that other PVRs would have needed to have been programmed to pick up a new series?
