The OP may find that in time, as the electrons tend to flow round the outer edge of the curve, they erode the plastic sheath that protects the wire, while at the same time depositing a fine plastic silt from upstream on the inner side of the wire. In this way, over a period of years, the bends in the cable would appear to meander across the wall and become more and more pronounced.
