Tivo connection to a second TV
Having recently moved to a new house I had TiVo installed in the living room, however when asked to install a second box (£6.50 per month) in an upstairs bedroom the installation team stated that it couldn't be done due to health and safety. They did however recommend visiting cable forum to ask about some type of device which will link the tivo box downstairs to the television upstairs. Does anyone have any suggestions of what could be used, or particular devices which work well for them? Thanks

Re: Tivo connection to a second TV
This is exactly what happened with me. I rang Virgin and rebooked an installation, and the second time round I got somebody who could actually be bothered to do the work - it was pretty clear the first guy couldn't. Good luck!

Is the bedroom above 1st floor height? If it is you were told the truth, as VM installers are not equipped or trained to work above 1st floor height. Is there any way the cable could be routed inside the house?

Is this a new thing? Back in 2007 when I got VM installed in our old 3rd story flat the installer just drilled two holes (one in the lounge bay window and one in the back room), dropped the cables down, connected them to the outlet on the lane below and then got up his ladder and tidied the two cables up.
