100meg upgrade - but 50meg speeds?
I seem to have had the 100meg upgrade (downstreem only) but it seems that something has gone very wrong. My area has zero capacity issues.
My max downstream traffic rate has gone up to 111000000 bps but I still only have 4 channels. The power levels have shot up to ~2.4dBmV for each channel. Rebooting the Shub changes nothing.
All speed tests return the usual 50meg results. Downloading many files from the VM game demo server also tops out at the usual 50meg results.
I am using a working gigabit lan card (Nvidia) connection to the Shub.
Should I be doing something else to see the full 100meg speeds? Shouldn't I have more than 4 channels now?
Can you gurus enlighten me?

I am directly wired to the Shub. I do not have a separate modem so that can't be the issue. Thanks for the idea though.
Any other ideas anyone?
*UPDATE*
Ah, looks like Flash has just upgraded and the speed test speeds have increased as a result. The VM game server is still being slow, but that seems to be the fault of the server.
Well, I'm now off on my hols, so further testing will have to wait a week. Thanks for the help Thenie. Have some rep. ~

Re: 100meg upgrade - but 50meg speeds?
when I had the shub I could never get over 36mbits on a speed test, The only way I knew I was on 100mbit is if I hammered newsgroups or downloaded a tonne of files from gamershell at the same time.

Not me unfortunately. IE9 is fine though.

Re: 100meg upgrade - but 50meg speeds?
Sorry for the lack of follow-up, I'm hiking atm. I have IE9 but it still had issues until Flash upgraded. I have always been able to get a full 50meg test through my Shub so that works.
I will test more fully when I end my hols, but the new Flash + IE9 seemed to be getting over 50meg speeds to a degree.

Re: 100meg upgrade - but 50meg speeds?
As promised, here are my results running IE9 and the latest Adobe Flash with the Shub using the R30 firmware directly connected in router mode to an Nvidia gigabit wired ethernet card:
So, it looks like it's working very well. I am really waiting for the 12meg upstream though for my NAS. Roll on the next phase! ~
It is worth noting that I only have 4 downstream channels. The router has been rebooted since the 100meg upgrade took place. Is this right? Shouldn't I have a few more downstream channels now I'm on 100meg?

No not necessarily. It depends on your local network really. If they need to add channels they will. I guess some areas will stay as they are, some will get 5, 6 or 7 channels. I think everyone on 12mb up will get 2 bonded channels for the upstream. This won't happen until after the whole country has had its down speed doubled. In either case you shouldn't need to reboot your SH.
