Have you tried a reboot of the Shub? It has a habit of telling porkies. There are some unresolved "issues" with it.

Re: Lincoln 100mb 7 downstream channels
niiiiiiiiiiice, I was curious because I am only ever going to see 4. I have never had an issue with speed down my neck of the woods so I am glad to see they have added plenty of extra juice.

The only thing it lies about with regard to extra channels is the power level once it's added. A reboot will correct that reading.

do you know how to check what speed you are provisioned for? If the engineer comes round you can ask him if he knows when the approximate upgrade date is, I am sure it will be close now that have added the extra capacity. I don't think he is going to be coming now though dude. I bet they have cancelled the call because work has been going on in the area and they have forgotten to tell you

Re: Lincoln 100mb 7 downstream channels
According to VM CS Coventry was supposed to have been upgraded yesterday. Not a sign, ,not even an increase in channels.
Having said that the connection does seem brisker than usual. Ping is lower and up speed has increased a few notches.

The VMNG300 doesn't support 8 channels on the hardware level, so a software update can't happen.
