Swap boxes in my house?

Hi I have a tivo in my bedroom and a v+ box downstairs. Is it ok to move the tivo downstairs and v+ upstairs until I have it removed as Im moving from parents soon, thats why I want the tivo downstairs for my parents.

I know you just connect them to the wires.

Short answer is Yes.

TiVo was down stairs & V+ was put up stairs . I swapped them around & since have swapped them again
