Hi and
Can you tell me your full set-up? How is the V+ connected to your TV? Is it outputting to HD?
If it's in Hi Def mode then you can use the VCR scart for sound.
What other connections are available on the surround system?

Re: Virgin V+ box and surround sound
Hello and thank you for replying.
The samsung LCD TV/Monitor is connected to the V+ box with just a normal scart.
The virgin guy connected it yesterday - although no sound. We have an LG dvd / audio player, which has the big speaker and 4 little speakers connected through. This we then connected with a red and white 'plugs' directly into our sky box and the sound worked perfectly. There aren't any red/white plugs in the v+ box, just an additional scart socket - however, when I tried a standard scart in there, plugging in the red & white sound cables from the LG box, there was still no sound... (hope this makes sense).

You are going to need to buy a Scart to phono lead if you don't have a Optical connection on the LG.
Do a search on Maplins etc.
