Getting the volume to work

I have a new TV and the volume button on my V+ remote worked right away until I installed an HDMI cable and changed the source from Composite to HDMI 2. I've gone though the settings in the help section on the box but the volume still doesn't work. My TV is a Philips.

Here's what I do

Hold mute & vol. up until green light flickers twice.
Type in my TV code... press OK.
Press the standby button until the V+ box powers off then press OK.

When I press the volume button now it nothing happens, not even a prompt to tell me to set up the remote.

I have also tried the default TV code 0010 and 000 but no joy.

Re: Getting the volume to work

I've got a Philips TV too, and there was no code listed in the Virginmedia website document, so I followed the instructions here -
http://tinyurl.com/c7tjf3b - and now it works fine. [mods, the link is to the virgin media help page].
