More TV and video services for the 360, including iPlayer

BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, LOVEFiLM and more, coming this "holiday".

No need for XBL Gold, which was the previous sticking point for iPlayer (MS wanted it Gold only, BBC wanted it for everyone).

Damn, I may actually consider getting LoveFilm now. I'm surprised Microsoft caved on the silver access to iPlayer though since it goes against their business model.

Re: More TV and video services for the 360, including iPlayer

It doesn't specifically say the iplayer is coming, and it's not listed here http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/Live/Partners
Rumour is that it's just going to be select BBC programmes via MSN Player

It was never iPlayer, it was just BBC programmes through MSN Player.

Nope, there is a separate BBC app coming, but not until "early 2012". No word on whether it's actually going to be "iPlayer" though.

Re: More TV and video services for the 360, including iPlayer

trying to use any app ie 5od/4od or you tube causes my sh to re-boot.

microsoft say its VM fault unable to provide enough band with with a poor ping.

netflix say its a issue with router/modem combination ..

using a pc or ipad to watch netflix are ok so logically the xbox/live app is the problem.

are peoples experience using the xbox app via the SH good or bad ?

Try deleting the apps and reinstalling them. That worked for some people who had a similar problem with earlier versions.
