I have a Hannspree 42" hdmi tv,vhd cable box which has a type 11 remote.Am having trouble finding the 4 digit code to activate sound.Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Wadder.
I had exactly the same troubles you are having when I bought my Hannspree TV. After many hours of research I found that the only remote that would work with it was the type 12. This looks exactly the same as your type 11 except it has white writing on the front. I couldn't be bothered contacting VM to try and get them to give me one, so I bought one from eBay (for about a fiver if I remember correctly). This solved my problem.

Thank you for a quick responce.I have done what you said and bought the new 1 from ebay.I did notice that this 1 has the codes for the Hannspree,just cant understand why the other hasent.

No, I couldn't understand that either. That's just the way it is I suppose! to the forum by the way.
Sorry to drag up an old post but i can say i have the type 11 remote (black writing), and the only thing that needed to be done to get it to work on the hannspree 42" (sj42dmbb) tv was to let it go through the automatic search!
The only reason i can see this to have worked is because some tv models use the same ir codes for their remotes as others do.
