Newbie - Virginmedia question - what is the best deal you can get ?

Hi all,

New to this site. Just wondering if someone can give me an idea of what is the best package for an existing customer ? I have been with Virgin since 2007 and was quite aggrieved to find out that my package is only £9 better off than what a new customer would pay for my services.

I currently get
Talk Evening and Weekends
TV XL
V+
Broadband Size L

Even if someone can give me an idea as to what I SHOULD be paying for this package ?

Many Thanks in advance

If you are paying £9 less than what a new customer currently does, then why are you complaining?

I totally agree with Ben. If you are paying £9 less than a new customer then you should be happy.

I personally, as a long-standing customer, would prefer that they have consistent pricing for all customers. Same bundle, same price.

Re: Newbie - Virginmedia question - what is the best deal you can get ?

I am complaining because I thought after 4-5 years of loyalty it would give me a better deal than new customers. As it stands new customers would also be offered better deals that I would be exempt from.

Anyone any ACTUAL answers other than Robbo and Ben who are just coming across as snippy ?

So for those who have been with VM(ntl) for 10+ years they should be perhaps paid for staying with VM??

I just want to find out what the average price is for people with my package. I was with ntl for 2 years previous as well and switched over to Virgin from them. I do not want the world I just think if you have shown loyalty you should be rewarded for this and not penalised.

There's no such thing as the average price for a bundle.

You can use the bundle builder to see what the standard ongoing monthly charge is and if you are paying less then that that is good.

Stop going on about new customer prices - they are IRRELEVENT to existing customers. Their ongoing price after their inducement to join is the same as existing customers (in general).

Can I remind members that swearing (even obfuscated swearing where the meaning is clear) is not allowed on this family friendly forum and can be a reason for infractions.

You know I recently stopped posting to this forum because of people like you with attitude. Time to consider again whether it is worth my time to try and help people like you.

I will re-iterate. You are paying £9 less than the standard bundle price. That is a good price. What new customers get as an incentive to join is IRRELEVENT to existing customers.
