Should i have a contract and if so how long does it normally take?

Had my Tivo for quite a while now but no signs of a contract

Lot of others seem to have theirs

Should i have a contract and if so how long does it normally take?

5 weeks for me

But it contained so many errors, install 'date", package "details" that it was cancelled,

I suppose it was at the hight of the initial rollout, so that could explain the error's, as normally their contracts are spot on

In all the years I've been with Telewest/Virgin Media, I have never seen a contract.
